MEGARARE original MONO London Records very first press released in Chile in 1968 by Industrias Eléctricas Y Musicales Odeon S.A. (Odeon Records), licensed from London Records Inc., New York, U.S.A., catalog number LLC-38545, with matrix numbers ARL-7752 1 in Side A and ARL-7753 1 in Side B, with green/black ffrr London Records labels, with PROMO stamp in both labels!!! Yes, WHAT A FIND!!! Another rare Chilean press of a great album!!! A MUST TO HAVE!!!

THE ROLLING STONES’ “FLOWERS” was originally released in 1967, but in Chile this album was released in 1968 and like usual those years we got it with an UNIQUE COVER!!!, made of two single sheets of paper attached, not glued, to a very thin cardboard and kept all together for an outer plastic bag. In this case, the outer plastic bag is missed, but some past owner did a plastic bag which has worked very well to protect the extremely fragile cover. Front cover keeps strictly the original US artwork, with title written in English only, and red London Records logo at bottom left corner. Back cover also keeps the original artwork but in Chile it’s only black and white, with album title in English, translated to Spanish, at left top corner, and name of the band, “The Rolling Stones”, written at right top corner. In back cover the tracklist is written in English, translated to Spanish, but in labels the tracklist is written only in English. In labels it’s stamped “DISCO PROMOCIONAL - PROHIBIDA SU VENTA” (Promotional Record - Sale Fobidden)!!! Yes Sirs, ANOTHER GREAT FIND FROM CHILE: a PROMOTIONAL RECORD of “FLOWERS”!!!

It’s interesting to notice that in Chilean press they also kept the errors in labels of original US press. The song, correctly written in back cover, “Have You Seen Your Mother, Baby, Standing In The Shadow?”, it’s shortened in label “HAVE YOU SEEN YOUR MOTHER, BABY”, and the song, also correctly written in back cover, “Ride On, Baby”, is misspelled in label, “RIDE ON BABY”, with the “,” missed.

The cover was already described and it’s in great VG- or VG condition the front cover, with no writings, ring marks or rips, with moderate wear in all edges, some creases and blemishes and, the most evident, it seems to have been cut in the mouth edge, because it’s about 8mm shorter than back cover, and someone added a paper there, but anyway it’s complete, and in EX or EX+ condition the back cover, clean, with very light wear in the edges, no rips or blemishes at all, only some minimal age browning. The record is in EX or EX+ condition both sides, glossy and clean, no scratches, only light scuffs and hairlines, which don’t affect sound. Labels on both sides are in stunning NM or NM+ condition, with no writings or marks of any kind, not even spindle hole wear. The sound is the best part, it’s in superb NM- or NM condition the Side A, loud, clear and clean, no background noise (surface noise is normal in records from Chile), only some minimal occasional crackles here and there, and in EX+ or NM- condition the Side B, loud, clear and clean, with minimal crackles a little more evident than in Side A but which don’t affect the sound at all. Overall, a vey nice record in this UNIQUE PRESS with ERRORS and PROMO STAMPED, with a glossy look and still amazing sound quality after 44 years, no repetitions, no sticks, no jumps, no distortions at all. Bid with confidence and don’t wait until the last second because you could lose the chance to get a real collectable record from Chile (South America) in superb condition like this copy is. You know South American records aren’t easy to get in good conditions, so HAPPY BIDDING and don’t let this record to go away… you could never see a so good copy of this record again… if you are lucky enough to see even another copy again…

We don’t use the generic “VG” most of South American sellers use to hide poor quality conditions or “NM” or “Mint” for records which aren’t even clean and sound less than a normal “VG” in professional standards. We use the Record Collector’s Grading System with a little modification: we don’t use MINT grade but for Sealed records and we can use a + or – to show a most professional accurate description.

MINT (M): I only use this grade for Sealed records.

NEAR MINT (NM): The record itself is in like new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality (only some very very very light hairlines caused for the record rubbing the sleeve). The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in like perfect condition.

EXCELLENT (EX): The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality, maybe some surface marks which doesn’t affect play. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.

VERY GOOD (VG): The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

GOOD (G): The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.

FAIR (F): The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump.
The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.

POOR (P): The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.

BAD (B): The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler.

SHIPPING (Packing and Postage)

We have an unique value worldwide: 

GBP15 for weight until 1kg (usually 1 or 2 records 12" depending of thickness of the vinyl)

GBP25 for weight 1-2kg (usually 3-5 records 12")

GBP7 for one 7” record

All records will be packed outside of the sleeve to avoid damages in the cover and all records will be sent with tracking number via Small Packet or Parcel Post services.

FEEDBACK

We don’t have anything to hide and we know the buyers expect to receive feedback after to pay for the items they win. Most of sellers say to give feedback when buyers leave feedback first. But we know that’s not fair for buyers. So, we leave feedback immediately after to receive the payment, because we understand that’s the part that buyers must receive feedback for. And we expect to receive a positive feedback from buyers who receive the records immediately after they have got the records.
