THE ROLLING STONES Beggars Banquet Lp signed in 1973 autographed RARE Beatles

Up for auction is a signed copy of THE ROLLING STONES classic 'Beggars Banquet' album released in the UK in December 1968 on DECCA RECORDS. What I'm offering here today is a signed first pressing sleeve of the German release on DECCA Royal Sound Stereo with the original catalogue number SLK 16665-P. Please note that the actual record is not included in this auction!

The front panel of the THE ROLLING STONES 'Beggars Banquet' sleeve was boldly signed by the four original members MICK JAGGER, KEITH RICHARDS (then RICHARD), CHARLIE WATTS and BILL WYMAN. All four signatures were obtained at the famous Hotel Kempinski in West-Berlin (GERMANY) on October 19th, 1973 prior to THE ROLLING STONES show that night at the now pulled down Deutschlandhalle. The signed 'Beggars Banquet' sleeve comes from the vast collection of a reputed Berlin autograph collector, who collected musicians' signatures from the mid 1960's until the late 1990's. His name will be uncovered with the C.O.A. that will be included with this originally signed copy of 'Beggars Banquet'!

What the original owner & autograph collector did way back in 1973 – a time were Sharpie permanent pens weren't necessarily at hand – he stuck adhesive tape onto all four signatures and later added a 10 x 7 inches adhesive foil in order to preserve these precious autographs! I've seen loads and loads of rare and most beautiful autographs in his collection, i.e. by Jimi Hendrix, Canned Heat, The Who to name just a few that were all treated with his "foil-therapy"!

The original German 1st pressing fold-out SLEEVE is in VERY GOOD- condition. It's not trashed at all, but shows wear and a number of creases to the spine. The top seam as well as the opening edges (front & back) are taped with sticky tape, that seems to be easily removable though. The inside of the fold-out sleeve with the famous banquet scene is still in EXCELLENT condition. Apart from this the SLEEVE shows NO unwanted writing – except for THE ROLLING STONES signatures of course –, NO seam splits, NO sticker marks, NO ring-wear, etc.!

MINT: The Record Itself Is In Brand New Condition With No Surface Marks Or Deterioration In Sound Quality. The Cover And Any Extra Items Such As The Lyric Sheet, Booklet Or Poster Are In Perfect Condition. Records Advertised, As Sealed Or Unplayed Should Be Mint.

EXCELLENT: The Record Shows Some Signs Of Having Been Played, But There Is Very Little Lessening In Sound Quality. The Cover And Packaging Might Have Slight Wear And / Or Creasing.

VERY GOOD: The Record Has Obviously Been Played Many Times, But Displays No Major Deterioration In Sound Quality, Despite Noticeable Surface Marks And The Occasional Light Scratch. Normal Wear And Tear On The Cover Or Extra Items, Without Any Major Defects, Is Acceptable.
