THE ROLLING STONES
“EL BANQUETE DE LOS MENDIGOS”
(BEGGAR’S BANQUET)
WOW!! WOW!! WOW!!! MEGARARE and hard-to-find original MONO London “ffrr” Records very first press released in Chile in 1967 by Industrias Eléctricas Y Musicales Odeon , S.A. (Odeon Records), licensed from London Records Inc., USA, catalog number LLC-38574, matrix numbers: XARL-8477-2A at 6 o’clock and CD at 10 in Side 1 and XARL-8476-6A at 6 o’clock and 1B at 9 in Side 2, with GREEN LONDON “ffrr” LABELS!!! Yes Sirs, ANOTHER FIND!!! An authentic very first press of “Beggar’s Bnaquet” released in Chile!!! The HOLLY GRAIL of “Beggar’s Banquet” worldwide!!! And what a SUPERB condition of both cover and record!!! The best copy available that you will find!!!
“BEGGARS BANQUET” was originally released in 1968 but we had to wait some months to see this album released here in Chile in 1969 and like in most of the cases of that period, we got this album with an UNIQUE COVER!!! And not only that, we also got in Chile an UNIQUE PICTURE SLEEVE!!! The cover is unlaminated and is the typical Chilean cover made of 2 single sheets of paper attached (not glued) to a thin cardboards kept all together for an outer plastic bag which’s part of the cover. If you are a Rolling Stones fan and/or collector you already know this release is the HOLY GRAIL of the “Beggars Banquet” editions worldwide!!! And see the pictures, this copy is in superb condition. Paper is very fragile, but in this case it’s in great condition, see the pictures. In Chile, for some reason we don’t know, they decided to use the picture of the inside of original gatefold cover for front and back cover. That’s only fact makes this record one of the rarest editions released here in Chile and a MUST for the Rolling Stones collectors. In front cover is the title in Spanish only at top, the name of the band is in the middle and at bottom left corner is written “R.S.V.P” and at right corner is the London Records logo. In back cover it’s the London Records logo with catalog number at top right corner, information about Chilean companies at bottom left corner and the tracklist at the right side. About the tracklist, it’s written only in Spanish with no information additional and only 9 tracks!!! Yes, in this megarare press, only in back cover, they omitted the song “Stray Cat Blues”, but in label is written and of course the song plays in the record. About label, it’s important to see that it’s green, that’s the best way to know it’s a very first press (seconds pressings have yellow labels). The title is written in Spanish but translated to English, the same for songs.
So, yes Sirs, this is really one of those finds you don’t see so often, one of the original copies of this famous album released in Chile in 1969 with an UNIQUE COVER, and UNIQUE PICTURE SLEEVE and an UNIQUE MISPRINT ERROR in cover!!! An authentic and original very first press of “Beggar’s Banquet” released in Chile, the HOLY GRAIL of “Beggar’s Banquet” released worldwide!!! And see the pictures, WHAT A GREAT CONDITION!!! A MUST TO HAVE!!!Impossible to get in better conditions!!!
The cover was already described and it’s in great condition, just like if it was made yesterday, almost perfect, no marks, no writings, no creases, no blemishes, outer plastic bag intact, no rips, it’s in absolute NM condition. The record is thick and it’s in superb NM- or even NM condition both sides, glossy and clean, NO scratches, NO hairlines, GREAT CONDITION. Labels on both sides are in NM or NM+ condition, absolutely clean and clear, NO spindle wear. The sound is the best part of this record, it’s in strong NM or NM+ condition, loud, clear and clean, no background noise (surface noise is normal in records from Chile), no crackles, no clicks, no pops. Absolute stunning and pristine condition!!! Overall a record with an incredible nice and clean look and an amazing sound quality after 42 years, NO SKIPS, NO REPETITIONS, NO DISTORTIONS!!! Great sound from the beginning to the end!!! I don’t use MINT to grade my records, so when I say NM+ I really mean.
Bid with confidence and don’t wait until the last second because you could lose the chance to get a real collectable record from Chile (South America) in superb condition like this copy is. You know South American records aren’t easy to get in good conditions, so HAPPY BIDDING and don’t let this record to go away… you could never see a copy of this RARE record again… if you are lucky enough to see even another copy again…
Thanks for watching and bidding, good luck and best regards from Chile.
_________________________________________________________
We don’t use the generic “VG” most of South American sellers use to hide poor quality conditions or “NM” or “Mint” for records which aren’t even clean and sound less than a normal “VG” in professional standards. We use the Record Collector’s Grading System with a little modification: we don’t use MINT grade but for Sealed records and we can use a + or – to show a most professional accurate description.
MINT (M): I only use this grade for Sealed records.
NEAR MINT (NM): The record itself is in like new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality (only some very very very light hairlines caused for the record rubbing the sleeve). The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in like perfect condition.
EXCELLENT (EX): The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality, maybe some surface marks which doesn’t affect play. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.
VERY GOOD (VG): The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
GOOD (G): The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.
FAIR (F): The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump.
The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.
POOR (P): The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.
BAD (B): The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler.

FEEDBACK
We don’t have anything to hide and we know the buyers expect to receive feedback after to pay for the items they win. Most of sellers say to give feedback when buyers leave feedback first. But we know that’s not fair for buyers. So, we leave feedback immediately after to receive the payment, because we understand that’s the part that buyers must receive feedback for. And we expect to receive a positive feedback from buyers who receive the records immediately after they have got the records.
IMPORTANT TO READ
We are not responsible for all the taxes, duties, fees you could have to pay in your country, but I always declare the records as gift.
