Hi, and welcome to psych_out! auctions!!!
I've collected 50's, 60's, and early 70's records of almost every genre - Psych, Prog, Psychedelic Funk, Soul, Rhythm 'n' Blues, Pop, Folk, Garage, Acid, Freakbeat, Rock, Jazz e.t.c and everything in between for all my life!!! Obviously, 90% of the LP's I've ever gotten hold of are completely trashed from the hard living ways and the rock 'n' roll, drug and booze fuelled debauchery of all the wild parties of the times, but the golden 10%? Reluctantly, I've decided to offer them to all of you serious record collectors out there!!! I'm currently trying to set up a record label so unfortunately personal sacrifices have to be made when it comes to my collection, resulting in GREAT benefits for all you shrewd bidders and serious connosieurs of TRUE solid gold music history out there!!! Make no mistake, I'll try my best to consistently offer some of the VERY BEST records available on ebay, many which have taken me YEARS to find!!!
I aim to put a weekly batch up (time permitting) every Wednesday, all timed to end 10 days later on Saturday night. I'll only ever offer THE BEST, MOST AMAZING, MOST IMPORTANT, VERY RAREST UK 1ST PRESS ORIGINAL RELEASE RECORDS I've got!!! I won't insult you with later 2nd pressings unless they are of exceptional quality and rarity. I'm sure you love good music as much as me, especially when it's a 1st Press LP, direct from the master tape, as the musicians intended it to be heard (none of this "digitally remastered",weak reissued, remixed rubbish from hired hands with one eye on the mixing desk and the other on the clock! If these session men really knew how genius should sound, surely they would've been geniuses themselves?! There will only ever be one Hendrix, and that's just a tiny example).

THIS IS A REAL ONE-OFF OPPORTUNITY TO OWN A USED, BUT STILL VERY PRESENTABLE EXAMPLE OF THIS MAGNIFICENT PIECE OF STONES HISTORY - THE OUTRAGEOUSLY RARE WITHDRAWN PROTOTYPE AFTERMATH SHADOW SLEEVE!!! THESE SIMPLY NEVER TURN UP!!!

BARELY ANY WERE MADE, AND IT WAS IMMEDIATELY TAKEN OFF SALE AS THE BAND/MANAGEMENT DECIDED IT WASN'T THE RIGHT LOOK!!! (truth be told, it's a VERY cool effect) ONE OF THE VERY GREATEST AND ICONIC LP'S EVER!!! A FANTASTIC CHANCE TO OWN A STARTER EXAMPLE OF WITHOUT A DOUBT ONE OF THE VERY RAREST STONES ITEMS OF ALL TIME!!! An incredible album, just look at the track line up! Quite simply one of THE very best Stones album of ALL TIME!!! This is magnificent, this is a masterpiece, and it's their first LP of 100% Jagger/Richards originals! Definitely one of my favourite LP's ever. What makes it so amazing is that it contains pure magic!! You can tell it's all from the same session, as each track has got a really distinct flavour. This was where the Stones went from being a great blues band, to true revolutionaries who helped guide rock music to where it is today!!!

Really this is Brian Jones's album, as every track has his signature all over it. From his Dulcimer, through his Harpsichord, to his Sitar - this is the record he put his soul into. Absolutely phenomenal!!!

Trivia : This was the first ever Stones album where they wrote EVERY song!!! Also, i'd argue that punk was invented on the outro to Mother's Little Helper!!! ("Oi!")

Classic UK 1st Press red ridged "Unboxed” Decca labels!!! Both sides are GREAT with minimal signs of age, NO writing, NO stickers, and NO tears whatsoever!!! Just has initials in pencil to one side and some light spindle marks from general light use over the years!!! BRILLIANT for a 52 year old record!!! Both must grade overall at least as Very Good!!!!!! Record : Visual -

Spectacular Original 1966 UK 1st Press Vinyl!!! Nice bright, and shiny with fantastic jet black mirror like surfaces, it looks OK with no excessively nasty marks, nothing that ruins playback, and NO vicious gauges either!!! It just has quite a bit of general age wear such as a few of the usual light, wispy sleeve traces, some small lightly feelable marks and a few milder hairlines here and there from where general use over the years. Of course, none of these blemishes interfere with smoothness of playback at all thanks to the quality deeply pressed 1st issue!!! Used, but still very presentable for a record of this age and rarity!!! Must grade overall visually at least as Good minus!!! (graded STRICTLY to the UK RRPG standards, not overgraded AT ALL!!! Customer satisfaction is of 100% importance to me)

Record : Audio -

Thankfully, it plays through GREAT with fantastic mono blast and clarity!!! It plays through smoothly with NO hops, sticks, or skips!!! Only has some relatively minor surface noise, a few ticks here and there on occasions as to be expected, some distorted audio on parts of side 2 such as High And Dry (this was a problem with all earliest 1A matrix pressings due to mastering problems with the tape machine, immediately withdrawn), and a bit of "bluesman's fag" static crackle in places such as between tracks and on the quieter sections, but it really mostly doesn't overshadow the excellent music AT ALL!!! (it's mostly more atmospheric rather than the sound of bacon frying!!!) I'd even argue it gives it added soul!!! Still a very enjoyable listen - The music is TRULY loud and clear!!! BRILLIANT for a record of this age and rarity!!! Must grade overall audiably at least as Very Good (side A) and Good (side B)!!! (graded STRICTLY to the UK RRPG standards, not trashed or overgraded AT ALL!!! Customer satisfaction is of 100% importance to me)

Sleeve :

Original UK 1966 1st press front laminated mono Robert Stace WITHDRAWN SHADOW sleeve complete with original inner!!! IMPOSSIBLE to find this sleeve in anything approaching a good condition - most are spent, torn and worn due to age and the lifestyles of the buyers of this particular LP!!! This one is NOT, and looks GREAT, especially considering the nature of these fragile sleeves!!! NO tears, NO really bad marks AT ALL, and still ULTRA strong and solid after all these years!!! Only has a few signs of usual mild ageing such as some light creasing and a touch of a record imprint, some general minor ageing to the unlaminated back such as a little age toning (absolutely nothing overly drastic at all - NO nasty marks, writing OR graffiti whatsoever!!!), a touch of denting to the four corners which basically ALL vintage LP's have, and POSSIBLY (just to be sure!!!) one or two other minor signs of age here and there, though nothing that really stands out to note at all!!! And that's truly about it!!! I tend to bring it down by emphasizing the negatives, but despite a little ageing, this remains a BRILLIANT sleeve, and a TRUE rarity to find one as beautifully presentable and as strong as this - most have been virtually destroyed or are just about being held together, but not this one!!! It remains ultra strong, solid, unsplit and unspoilt, and even the spine remains ultra strong, solid, unsplit, and 100% readable!!! Must grade overall at least as Good++++!!! (graded STRICTLY to the UK RRPG standards, not trashed or overgraded AT ALL!!! Customer satisfaction is of 100% importance to me)

Summary : A used, but still very presentable example of this OUTSTANDING prototype piece of Stones history - the OUTRAGEOUSLY RARE WITHDRAWN SHADOW SLEEVE Mono classic 1966 PRE RELEASE UK 1st Press LP!!! UNBELIEVABLY HARD TO FIND!!! Hard to find in ANY condition!!! YOU MAY NEVER GET THE CHANCE AGAIN, so don't miss out on this scarce opportunity to own a true piece of 60's/70's music history!!! I've realized that most countries have their own unique grading system. I base mine strictly on the UK RRPG grading system (occasionally with a + or a - to indicate the higher and lower ends of the grade, though I only use these if i'm having real trouble deciding!), so please check their chart for further clarity if you are unsure of what my grades mean. As a general rule, a mint record will be 100% perfect, an excellent record will be in fantastic clean condition with the occasional mild mark and minor use from the years, and a very good record will have noticeable, yet light visual markings and obvious signs of age and use, but will still remain clean with relatively light wear and will play fantastically well with plenty of life remaining in it. I very rarely offer records below the very good region unless they are of an EXCEPTIONAL rarity and playing quality...I hope this helps!
