Description
The Rolling Stones---"Aftermath"---Original UK 1st Press Mono Album In G+/VG Condition On The Red Unboxed Decca Label---6B and 1A From 1966---This Is The Rare Version With The Hard To Find "SHADOW SLEEVE" Which Was Quickly Withdrawn When It Wasn't Liked By The Band
This is a UK copy from 1966 in mono on the red unboxed Decca label, cat. no. LK.4786 with matrices 6B and 1A.
Vinyl: G+. The vinyl is in reasonable condition with quite a few scratches and other marks. Track 1 on side 1 has about 4 sever jumps in the first quarter of the track but the rest of this sde and side 2 play through with just heavy crackle and some ticking in places. This copy could be replaced for a better early copy as the rarity here is the "SHADOW SLEEVE".
Labels: EX. The labels are in great condition with no markings. There is normal use spindle wear.
Sleeve: VG. The laminated "SHADOW" sleeve is in reasonable condition with quite heavy wear. The back has a piece of tape stuck on the left top but there is no repair covered so I don't know why it's there. The spine is quite nice and clean. Remember this is a rare find with the withdrawn shadow on the front title text.
With a low start price you could get yourself a real bargain.
