NEAR MINT CONDITION
This set of 36 THE ROCK ‘N’ ROLL ERA LP’s by TIME/LIFE is in NEAR MINT condition. I am the original owner and have played these sparingly over the years – the collection dates from and was purchased in the 1980’s.
The collection features the original recordings of the biggest hits from 1954 to 1966 – some years had so many hits, there were 2 boxes (4 LP’s) needed to cover them all. You can see which years these are in my photos.
Each year has a separate box – 18 in all. There are two (2) LP’s per box. The only years that had a bi-fold album cover (instead of a box) are 1964, 65 and 66. All the boxes and covers are also in NEAR MINT condition – the only imperfection I can find is on some of the bottoms where there is slight scuffing due to pulling in and out on the shelf.
I am one of the co-founders of Nitty Gritty Record Care Products and I can vouch for the careful preservation of this collection of 36 LP’s. Each LP is stored in it’s original static-free, two-layer sleeve from the beginning and kept in my home’s temperature controlled listening room in the proper vertical position.
The surfaces of these pressings are significantly quieter than their original 45 RPM editions.
There are new copies of some of these TIME/LIFE LP’s selling for $40 each on Amazon – my entire collection is in LIKE NEW condition and will be an incredible bargain for whoever is the lucky winner. There is literally no improvement that a new copy could provide.
The buyer is responsible for all shipping charges. This item will be insured for the full final auction price.
I will ship this item anywhere, but I cannot research transportation costs. If you are interested in this unit, you will need to do the research. The shipping carton weighs 25 pounds and measures: 16 inches by 16 inches by 12 inches. My postal code is 91723.
