Here we have for sale a very nice box set of Wagner’s Der Ring des Nibelungen or The Ring, conducted by Georg Solti. This is the rare "special edition" box and includes the full libretto and "An Introduction to The Ring" by Deryck Cook. This was the first stereo studio recording of the complete cycle, and in a recent BBC poll was voted the greatest recording of the 20th century.

The LPs are in their original wooden box. The box itself is in very good condition with one or two slight rubs on the top of the box. Also the edges on a couple of the binders (as shown in picture 2) have very minor rub marks but apart from this the box set is like new.

Record wise: the records, the record sleeves and the booklets for each opera are in mint condition. I have owned this set for 15 years and bought it from a well known and respected record dealer who confirmed the condition. Also I have not played this set at all since I bought it, as I have already got the regular black box Decca set.
