Description

THE RECORD OF SINGING Vol. 1

This milestone project was intended to produce of compendium of all the great singers for four key periods. This, the first and rarest of the four sets, covers up to 1914.

Here are 12 LPs of great singing, with all the most important names in the operatic firmament, chosen by one of the most fastidious and tasteful of collectors, Vivian Liff.

The set comes with a 242 page book, describing the careers of each of those artists, and a review of their singing, by one of the best known operatic critics Michael Scott.

This set is as near mint as you will find nearly 30 years after the set was first published. The LPs are mint. It is quite likely that some were never played. The book has been covered by loose plastic, showing the care taken by the previous owner. The box has one or two dings and stains, but is in excellent condition. NB. The colour variation is my camera; it's not on the box.

This set has never been transferred to CD.

It will be carefully packed and you will be charged only the actual postal cost.
