ATTENTION 1960s BEAT GROUP COLLECTORS! HERE IS AN ORIGINAL 1965 MONO ISSUE OF THE PRETTY THINGS FIRST EVER ALBUM SIMPLY CALLED "THE PRETTY THINGS". THIS ONE IS A FIRST PRESSING ON THE PHILIPS PRESSED FONTANA LABELS TL 5239 WITH EARLIEST EVER 1L/2L MATRIXES AND "ROUGH TEXTURED" LABELS.
HARDLY ANY SPINDLE WEAR. ALTHOUGH THERE ARE VISUAL SIGNS OF HAVING HAD A LOT OF PLAYS WITH MANY SURFACE MARKS AND A COUPLE OF VERY SHORT LIVED CLICKS BUT THIS IS NICE SOUNDING COPY WITH CLEAR SOUND-DUE TO PHILIP'S FABULOUS LOUD AND DEEP CUT MASTERING WITH ONLY SLIGHT SURFACE NOISE AND SLIGHT DISTORTION AT SOME OF THE SOUND PEAKS BUT WITH NO JUMPS,STICKS,SWISHES OR LOUD CLICKS! STRICTLY VISUALLY GRADED AS GOOD+++ CONDITION BUT THE BLINDFOLD TEST WOULD PROBABLY MERIT A "VG++" GRADING AND IDEAL IF YOU DO NOT WANT TO PAY THE SKY HIGH PRICES FOR A HIGHER GRADE CONDITION COPY BUT THIS IS NOT A TRASHED AND THRASHED EXAMPLE UNLIKE THE MAJORITY THAT SURVIVE. HOUSED IN THE ORIGINAL POLYLINED INNER SLEEVE WITH THE "FOREIGN PATENTS PENDING" CREDIT DENOTING ONE OF THE FIRST EVER PRINTED FOR THIS LP.
HOUSED IN THE LAMINATED FRONT COVER WITH EASY TO READ SPINE DETAILS. THERE ARE A FEW MINOR CREASES AND SOME MILD STAINING AT THE BACK BUT NO WRITING,RIPS OR REPAIRS. PLEASE SEE ALL THE PHOTOS SHOWING THE FRONT AND BACK OF THE COVER+BOTH LABELS! NOTHING TO HIDE! A LOW,REALISTIC £12 STARTING PRICE.
