Description
A great opportunity to buy a copy of a RARE PSYCH 7 inch VINYL single from the 60's by The Pretty Things called "Defecting Grey".
This is a U.K. pressing released in late 1967 on the Columbia label (DB 8300). It has "Defecting Grey" on the A side with "Mr. Evasion" on the B side.
The vinyl is in a clean FAIR condition. I always examine and grade records under a bright table lamp and unfortunately there are a collection of scratches roughly in the same area running across approximately 80% of the grooves (see photo). These produce an audible click on each revolution, apart from the final part of the track. The click is only evident on the quieter passages and does not produce any sticking or jumping. The B side is unaffected by scratches and plays fine and sounds great. This side would be a very strong Very Good condition.
The labels are clean and free from any writing or major defects.
The record is perfectly flat and has no warps of any description.
The record is housed within its original company sleeve in a lovely well-preserved EXCELLENT condition.
This is a rare and collectable 60's Pysch single and should be of interest to avid collectors, despite its shortcomings. It is well worth having just for the great B side track.
