Not offered you any Bay Area funk since our Pi-R-Square Fantasy Wee label 45 auction back in Aug' 2017. Now, it's time for The Perfect Circle Lp :) An obscure and ever desirable rare groove classic with crossover funk / mellow spacey lowrider soul / disco jazz et al. All skillfully played with that stoned private press San Francisco sound. We've recorded several killer trax for our mp3 soundclip which opens with one of their lesser known theme songs "Peaceful Funk" (with whispered spoken word rap intro) followed by "Jungle Disco" then "I'll Always Love You Girl" and more! We've not recorded some obvious trax like "Dip Stick" / "For Your Funkicifaction" etc as everything can be found on the net OK. Rare funk music released on clavinet player and producer George Semper's Inner City Records. Amazing disco jazz horn section / psychedelic fuzz and wah wah / bugged-out basslines / latin congas / bboy drums and raw beats galore. Shades of The Mighty Ryeders - Help Us Spread The Message on here. Great for DJs. Disc cut loud with primitive production sound. Our item is the original 1st pressing with deep groove style labels - Sybil Music Co underneath Stereo etc. Striking artwork sleeve showing the band in outer space :)
Our record grading: SEALED / M- / VG++ / VG+ / VG
RECORD - shiny, VG++ regardless of any faint hairlines or faint light scuffs / a few tiny white dot cum pressing blemishes / some faint old residue from the original pressing process / disc cut loud with primitive production sound albeit one side of this original 1st press is louder and clearer than the other so some trax are more lo fi / background noises and some soft ticks mostly due to the actual pressing quality / tiny scratch right on the intro of "The Perfect Circle" theme causes a couple of soft pops
SLEEVE - original, hard card paste-on sleeve is strong VG+ overall regardless of any damages to back sleeve (sliced section of card missing and crushing to bottom right area - see photos) / still clean, solid and quite sharp looking / corner and edge wear /
LABEL - deep groove labels are still bright looking / some natural age discoloration / a few faint old dirt marks from storage
After a 2 year gap, Pourquoi Moi Vintage is back :)

Mp3 created via a Vestax portable with protective slipmat and basic Audacity software but records always sound much better on a proper hi-fi system ;)
