Early United States Mono pressing of this hard to find record album.  The copy we are offering here is on the Deep Groove yellow and black Prestige label with LONG PLAYING MICROGROOVE at the bottom.  The address on both record labels is “446 W. 50th ST., N.Y.C.”.  The address on the back of the cover is “447 West 50th Street, New York 19, N.Y.”.  Both sides of the LP have RVG in the dead wax.  Comes complete with its original company Prestige Records inner sleeve.

The personnel on this recording are Miles on trumpet, Red Garland on piano, Oscar Pettiford on bass, and Philly Joe Jones on drums.

COVER: The only thing keeping this jacket from grading VG+ is a 4 inch top right seam split.  The front has light surface wear and retains some of its original glossy luster.  The back has moderate surface wear and a bit of light staining.  There is also a previous owner’s name stamped on the back.

VINYL: The one thing keeping the record from grading a clean VG+ is a mark on the vinyl on Side B that shows from about the last half of the first song through the first half of the second song.  It is unusual looking and we are not sure if it occurred during manufacturing or later.  We listened to this side of the LP and it plays well and sounds great with no pops or skips, just a little surface noise.
