Description
From 1969, out of Houston,Texas, comes an ORIGINAL press of one of the best psychedelic albums ever! It is by The Moving Sidewalks and is entitled Flash on Tantara TS6919. This item is from my personal collection and was purchased by me in 1982 SEALED. I am known as a "shrinkwrap fanatic". I carefully split the shrink on the right side and spent 2 and 1/2 hours taking it off, removed the record and then spent another 2 and 1/2 hours putting the shrink back on! It is a gatefold cover with photos of the group inside. The record has the matrix markings in the deadwax plus a small mr in a circle (Monarch Recordings of the late 60s all have this). Very scarce ORIGINAL of one of my top FIVE psych records of all time! The album opens with the cut Flashback, which needs no description as to what it is about! This, along with the cut Pluto - Sept.31, are my two favorite cuts on this record! The group contained Billy Gibbons, who later found fame in ZZ Top, and Dan Mitchell, who was in the first ZZ Top lineup! I often wondered about the cover, which contains a photo of the group supposedly eating at a banquet table, yet they have no forks, although they appear to be eating with forks!
White at upper and lower left corner, high spot rubs on top of rear bottom cover (small). The only way you can get a better copy is to get one still sealed!
Cover in shrink! Cover is VG++ and record is MINT MINUS- played only once!!!
ALL RECORDS GRADED VISUALLY WITH BRIGHT LIGHT AND 28 PLUS YEARS OF EXPERIENCE!!!
