RADIO SHOW TRANSCRIPTION DISC FROM THE ARMED FORCES RADIO & TELEVISION SERVICE. TWO COMPLETE 20 MINUTE RADIO PROGRAMS AND TWO COMPLETE 10 MINUTE RADIO PROGRAMS ON THIS 16 INCH, VINYL, 33 1/3 RPM DISC. THIS DISC WAS ISSUED TO ARMED FORCES RADIO STATIONS FOR BROADCAST TO U. S. TROOPS AND NOT AVAILABLE TO THE GENERAL PUBLIC. VERY RARE!
Side 1: "The Lone Ranger" radio program #206. I'm not sure of the date or title of this program, Steve Bartlett tricks Hank Corey & Bob Allison into a gunfight. The Lone Ranger disguises himself as an Indian to go into town with Tonto and find out what's going on. 20 minutes
"Spotlight Story" radio program #118 hosted by Edward Arnold who tells the story of the origination of the world "Cowboy", among other things. 10 minutes
Side 2: "Gunsmoke" radio program #213. I'm not sure of the date or title of this program, gunfighter Lief Tugwell comes to Dodge City, and Marshall Dillon breaks up a possible gunfight between Tugwell and an young gunfighter. 20 minutes
"Spotlight Story" radio program #119 hosted by Edward Arnold who tells interesting stories. 10 minutes
All of the above programs are complete. This disc was intended for each side to run all the way through for two 30 minute segments (one 20 minute show and one 10 minute show). There is a few second pause between the shows on each side, where the announcer states "We Pause Now For Station Identification". The date of September 13, 1957 is imprinted in the side of the disc
Disc is in Very Good+ Condition with Excellent- sound, Beautiful Disc!
Due to their size, 16 inch discs will not play on most standard turntables. For $10 I can include a CD transfer of the entire disc for the buyer
