Description
This is a very nice UK original mono copy of the classic Kinks LP 'Face to Face' on the Pye label from 1966. A very rare record becoming increasingly hard to find. The laminated Garrod & Lofthouse sleeve is in Excellent+ condition, lovely and clean. The flipbacks and spine are quite perfect. The only real fault is that there a small pinholes, one to each corner where a previous owner clearly attached it to the wall! This is barely noticeable though and doesn't detract from a beautifully preserved cover. The vinyl is in lovely shiny, Excellent+ condition, clearly barely played, would be hard to find better. Just a few light hairlines visible only under very bright light. There is one more noticeable light mark on Track 4, Side 2 but this does not sound at all. The playback is lovely , the lightest of crackle occaisonally between tracks but nothing whatsoever to interfere with the music. No loud pops, clicks, jumps or sticks.The labels are very clean.
Matrix info: Side 1:NLP 18149 A2 H. Stampers 1 at 3 o'clock, M at 9, KT AT 12. Side 2: NLP 18149 B1 H. Stampers J at 8 o'clock and KT at 11.
A very nice copy indeed of this rare mono LP
I have been a collector for any years and a now selling most of my vinyl to fund a change of career. All records are thoroughly cleaned on my ClearAudio Smart Matrix machine and then carefully played on a Rega Planar 3 deck with Goldring cartridge. I use strict RC gradings with plus and minus to indicate variation and all records are sent out in professional mailers.
