Description

THE KINKS - ARE THE VILLAGE GREEN PRESERVATION SOCIETY LP MONO NPL18233 VG/VG+

Highly Sought after copy of this well underrated (at least at the time) extremely difficult to find Kinks L.P

The Cover
The cover/sleeve ls in overall VG to VG+ Condition, if you have been looking for a copy of this you will no how hard it is to find a copy and when you do the cover is more often than not pretty mashed up this one isn't perfect but as you can see is better than most The text on the spine is readable there are some minor spine creases, inner gatefold is EX with the inner opening edge where the records slips in being nice.
Please study the photos.

The Inner Sleeve
The inner sleeve i dont think is original but new Dynamic spin-care sleeve is included
Please see photos.
The Centre Labels
The centre label on both sides have some spindle marks consistent with its age.

The Vinyl Record has been cleaned on a Keith Monks record cleaning machine and a new inner sleeve is included.
The Vinyl on Side one is shiny and around VG+ , Side Two is also shiny and again around VG+, playback is very good throughout both sides of the record with no jumps or sticks, some audible noise between tracks and the odd pop and crackle in the quite sections, but overall the sound is loud and punchy.

So the record plays with a little noise between track etc, vinyl wise its a decent copy obviously not mint with some minor hairlines etc. This was my own copy and its only because i have found an unplayed copy that this is up for sale.

Items are packed using proper strong Record Mailers and card stiffeners etc to a high standard.

As always sensible offers will be considered, feel free to make your offers through eBay.

Records are graded using Record Collectors Grading System.
M = MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should
be Mint.

EX = EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.

VG = VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

G = GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.

F = FAIR: The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.

P = POOR: The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.

B = BAD: The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is onlyof use as a collection filler.

+ & - May be used if a record or sleeve are in between standard Record Collector Gradings.
