Mini bio: The Keys formed in 1980 in Victoria B.C., Canada. They comprised of John E. "Falcone" Mears (vocals, guitar), Leslee Hill (vocals, drums), James Batt (vocals, bass; also known as James Ross of Low Fun) and Bobby Permanent (guitar, vocals)
-The Keys released just one single during their time together in 1980, the tracks were Whatever Happened To Boy Meets Girl? and Lied To.
-The group appeared in the Victoria-made cult movie "Ups & Downs".
-This original 1980 Keys 45 is very rare today and was pressed in small numbers.
-Titles: Whatever Happened To Boy Meets Girl? / Lied To
-Whatever Happened To Boy Meets Girl? is an excellent mod / new wave mid-tempo rocker with strummed guitar, good time keeping from the drummer, percolating bass, guitar solo and great vocals from lead singer John E. "Falcone" Mears.
-Lied To is a gritty fast-tempo mod rocker with good musical accompaniment and vocals.
-Both sides recorded at Victoria's Legacy Studios and was engineered by Tony Moskal.
