Sleeve Notes: This Tempo LP contains some of the happiest-sounding jazz we have ever issued. But it also marks a very sad occasion. It is the last we shall hear of the best band there has ever been since the advent of modern jazz in Britain – The Jazz Couriers, co-led by Ronnie Scott and Tubby Hayes. “I remember when Ronnie asked me if I'd be interested in co-leading a small group with him. That was in March 1957. I jumped at the idea because I'd been a a great admirer of his playing ever since I first took up the tenor. But at the time, I don't think either of us realized the tremendous amount of enjoyment, education and success we were to have with the band ” - Tubby Hayes
Cover: Excellent
(since it was scanned and “stitched“ you may see a line down the centre. Be assured, this is only on the photo)
