Description
Really doesn't need an introduction, but here goes. The Jam's incredibly scarce, particularly in this condition: In The City 7" Japanese issue.Catalogue No is DPQ6060. I bought this quite a few years ago from a good friend in Japan hoping that I would be able to get the holy grail of the 1st 4 Jam Jap 45's but alas I've given up trying to secure them due to my own financial constraints and the near impossibility of actually locating them.So with huge regret it's time to let this kiddie go.This really is a stunning copy. The thin paper sleeve/lyric sheet is in an excellent plus condition with slight creasing/ringwear while the vinyl is simply pristine,an easy near mint grade with the labels being totally flawless too.Incredible condition for a record nearing its 32nd birthday! I'm not sure if it was ever played out in Japan, but I can honestly say I've only played the A side once and the B side twice in all the time I've owned it,and only then on my Acoustic Research deck with a Goldring 1020 stylus.I have always kept this record DOUBLE BAGGED in its original Japanese sealer plastic bag and in another heavy duty plastic dust sleeve, both of which will stay with the record and will be shipped ultra securely.I have had to put what I consider to be an appropriate reserve on this highly desirable piece.I'd be daft not to wouldn't I!!! I Because of the rarity of this item I will only ship via special delivery.
RECORD COLLECTOR GRADING SYSTEM
MINT :
The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed be Mint.
EXCELLENT :
The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.
VERY GOOD :
The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
I may use a + or a - to emphasise a grading which may be inbetween a grade. I will never use a mint grading for a 2nd hand/used record for instance. Mint- will be the very highest grade.
