Description
Lovely copy of the 1946 self-titled Ink Spots 78 album on Decca A-477. Four 78rpm discs with many of their biggest hits from their early years. This was the very first album ever made by the Ink Spots, followed by volumes 2 and 3, beautiful copies of which I am also listing. This copy is quite lovely. The discs are all very clean and play just beautifully. There are some scuffs and very light wear on some but really nothing much. A little surface scuffing but no clouding or digs or real scratches at all. Really a beautiful set of discs. They all play gorgeously. The cover is also remarkably clean with only light corner and edge wear. Rare to see it in such nice shape. The spine is perfect and untorn, and there is really not much wear. AND it includes the impossibly rare booklet insert, wirh a slight crease but fully intact and very nice. Truly a top, top copy, very hard indeed to beat.
The discs are:
-If I Didn’t Care / Whispering Grass
-Do I Worry? / Java Jive
-We Three (My Echo, My Shadow and Me) / Maybe
-I’ll Never Smile Again / Until the Real Thing Comes Along
