Description

This is a very nice original US stereo copy of the first and only LP by the Boston psych band, The Ill Wind, Flashes, released in 1968 by ABC Records. This is a very rare LP with clean copies regularly selling for well in excess of $100.

As to grading, I grade very conservatively. Except that for records that are a notch below near mint, rather than VG ++, I prefer to use grade of Excellent. I do not use VG++ grade in addition to Excellent grade as is done by some.

The LP is visually in excellent condition with only visible mark being an inaudible line on Side 2 that starts at the end of cut 3 and extends into the middle of cut 4. The LP play graded at the higher spectrum of very good plus to excellent with a quick slight hint of crackle/tick barely heard on first cut on Side 1 right at the beginning of guitar intro being the only thing heard. Overall this is a very nice copy of very hard to find psych LP. The LP was tested through headphones after manual cleaning. As the LP was tested several weeks before listing it should, of course, be cleaned again before play. The cover is in very good plus condition. The corners on all sides are slightly worn. The top and bottom seams as well as spine are strong with no splits with minor rub wear /loss of color and the product information on spine is readable. The front cover is very nice with vibrant color. There is slight bit of ring wear and other wear noticeable at top and bottom of the cover on both sides.

The LP is being sold without reserve and payment is expected within 3 days of auction close. Return of the LP will only be accepted if the same LP sold and shipped is returned in the same condition. The LP will be separated from the cover when shipped to prevent seam splitting.
