Description
NO RESERVE...
This LP contains two exclusive Who mixes - a true stereo version of 'A Quick One While He's Away' & a studio version of 'Young Man Blues' - The studio version of this song has only been legitimately released on this record - contrary to what the liner notes say, the "Odds & Sods" reissue (MCA #MCAD-11718) does not contain this version but has a totally different studio version.
It also contains the first Fairport Convention single 'If I Had A Ribbon Bow', two tracks each by Jimi Hendrix & The Crazy World Of Arthur Brown, along with tracks by Thunderclap Newman, John's Children with Marc Bolan, an early Clinton Parliament's tune & more.
The sleeve was designed by David King, who did the superb Electric Ladyland & Axis: Bold As Love covers.
This is a sought after compilation. The classic laminated gatefold sleeve is in good condition with some fold wear ( 44 years old ). but not ripped . The vinyl is in used condition - there are some light surface scratches, but I have played this record and it really sounds great with very little surface noise.
Probably the best sampler of the era, this record regularly sells for three figures as it rarely surfaces. So, this is a rare opportunity and best of all there is no reserve on this item!!
the same LP recently sold for $120 in USA
