I HAVE JUST BOUGHT ONE OF THE BEST COLLECTION OF PROMOS / DEMOS / ACETATES FROM A RETIRED RECORD COMPANY EXECUTIVE THAT WORKED IN THE MUSIC INDUSTRY FROM THE LATE 1950'S TO THE MID 1970'S, THIS IS ONE OF THE MOST AMAZING COLLECTION OF SINGLES I HAVE EVER SEEN AND I WILL BE LISTING IT OVER THE NEXT FEW MONTHS, THERE ARE MANY NEVER SEEN, OR RARELY SEEN PROG / PSYCH / FREAKBEAT / MOD / BEAT / DANCER / NORTHERN SOUL / ROCK 'N' ROLL / POPCORN / FOLK  DEMOS / PROMOS AND ACETATES !!! This is a RARE AND UNIQUE, ORIGINAL ONE SIDED (2 TRACKS) PSYCH / ABBA RELATED DEMO ACETATE by THE HEP STARS from 1966, ORIGINAL DEMO ONLY ACETATE !!!
WOW what a great find, THE HEP STARS were of course a Swedish Psych / Beat band that included BENNY ANDERSON from ABBA as the main song writer and front man !!! This is a 2 tracks DEMO ACETATE that i was told by the retired industry person I bought this from, was sent to record companies A&R people in the UK in order to get the band signed in the UK, in the end the band got signed for 1 single to DECCA RECORDS in 1966. The ACETATE includes 2 DEMO VERSIONS of two early BENNY ANDERSON written songs: "SUNNY GIRL" and "IT'S NICE TO BE BACK AGAIN", These versions are different and much rougher then the released versions, "SUNNY GIRL" came out as the band's first UK single in 1966 on DECCA, while the other track was UNRELEASED IN THE UK, but was released as a B SIDE in SWEDEN ONLY as "IT'S NICE TO BE BACK" and 4 years later was even covered by another future ABBA member, ANNI-FRID LYNGSTAD under the Swedish title "MIN EGEN STAD"  as a B SIDE for one of her Swedish singles !!!.
These 2 tracks are some of the EARLIEST TRACKS written by BENNY ANDERSON and have a PSYCH feel to them, this is a must for any PSYCH fan but also to any ABBA fan as these are the ROOTS OF ABBA !!!
THIS IS A MUST FOR ABBA FANS AS THESE ARE THE ROOTS OF ABBA !!!!

This copy came from a retired RECORD COMPANY EXECUTIVE (as mentioned above) who got this ACETATE in the hope he might sign the band, but he didn't !!! 

The tracks are: "SUNNY GIRL" + "IT'S NICE TO BE BACK AGAIN" / side 2 is blank.
The ACETATE was probably pressed by THE HEP STARS themselves or by their management in order to get them signed in the UK !!!

The condition of the ACETATE is VG++++ (AMAZING FOR A 49 YEARS OLD ACETATE plays great with minor crackle acetates of that age tend to have) !!!
