Description
This is the very rare vinyl LP by The Guess Who’s Chad Allan & The Expressions titled “Shakin’ All Over” on Scepter Records catalog number SPS-533, released in 1965. This was the record which forced Chad Allan & The Expressions to change their name to The Guess Who because DJs playing this on air referred to the band as The Guess Who (as printed on the cover) instead of their original name. The single “Shakin’ All Over” became the band’s first hit.
All records that I have for sale are from my personal collection and were played exclusively on a high end turntable.
This record was pressed on extra thick vinyl. It is in excellent condition with a clean surface. The record sounds great with only occasional light clicking and minimal stylus on vinyl sounds. The record labels are in excellent condition. The outer jacket has a small grommet pressed into the upper left corner which was the record store’s or distributor’s idea of a cutout hole. The jacket shows minor wear at the openings but is solid all around and in overall excellent condition. The original printed inner sleeve is included with two small splits in the edges (see pictures).
I will pack the record outside of the jacket to protect jacket integrity and ship in a sturdy LP mailer with cardboard inserts and bubble wrap for further protection.
Shipping to the USA will be via USPS Media Mail.
