3ChordRecords is offering for auction a Fantastic, Near Mint Original 1st Press copy of the 1971 LP by The Groundhogs "Split" on Liberty Records.

Cat No.  LBG 83401

This LP is pressed on thick black vinyl, the record is in Near Mint condition, it retains all of its original shine and has no marks or scratches, the record comes in the original white inner sleeve with Patent Nos 1,125,555 printed at the bottom.  The record is the Original 1st Press and has the Matrix Numbers A-1:B-1.  The labels are in Near Mint condition with no spidering. 

The fully Laminated Gatefold Picture Sleeve picture sleeve is in FANTASTIC condition, best copy you will have seen since New.  There is almost no laminate lift throughout the sleeve, the edges are as crisp and clean as they were on the day of release (CHECK THE PHOTOS, IT REALLY IS THAT GOOD).  The spine is as new with no damage.

The inside gatefold is stunning and retains all the original shine, it is like a mirror, with just two very small (few millimetres) laminate lifts.  The edges where the record goes in are as crisp as shop new.  The back sleeve has a small amount of ringwear but overall an absolutely stunning copy of this 40 year old LP.

Overall a Near Mint Original 1st Press copy of this increasingly hard to find blues rock rarity.
