Description
Slash Records SCAM 101. Very very rare ORIGINAL 1978 US 3-track 7" EP. This is a very reluctant sale and I think you would be hard-pressed to ever find a better condition copy. I bought this on eBay last year from someone who obtained it through a close associate of the band and label.
The thin fold-over sleeve is in lovely NEAR MINT condition apart from just some faint ringwear apparent. It's in amazing condition considering it's over 33 years old. It's nice and crisp and has no creasing to the corners (just some faint ringwear visible).
The vinyl is also in very nice condition. When viewed under a bright halogen light Side A is in Excellent Plus condition; there are just one or two light hairline traces visible. It's just a tiny notch underneath Near Mint.
When viewed under a bright halogen light Side B is in Excellent condition; there are just one or two light hairline traces visible like on Side A but there is some kind of approximately 3mm wide marking visible on the run-in groove for a third of the way around the edge. I don't know what it is as it's not handling wear; it could be a pressing fault. I have played it and there is a very brief hiss when you put the needle down before it quickly disappears. If it wasn't for this it would be in Excellent Plus condition like Side A.
The matrix numbers on the run-out grooves are exactly Side A: SCAM - 101 - A - L.A. DECLARES WAR and Side B: SCAM 101 - B - HIS MASTER'S NOISE.

This comes with the original generic plain off-white paper inner sleeve but I transferred the vinyl to a brand new plain white paper inner sleeve when I bought it.
