PLEASE NOTE: I WILL ONLY GRADE AN OPENED LP NEAR MINT (NM) IF I CAN GUARANTEE IT HAS NEVER BEEN PLAYED (i.e. I AM THE ORIGINAL OWNER).  OTHERWISE, NEAR MINT MINUS (NM-) IS THE ABSOLUTE HIGHEST GRADE I WILL ASSIGN AN OPENED LP.


This is it.  The moment some collectors wait a lifetime for.  The chance to own an actual original first pressing of The Fix's Vengeance 45 on Touch & Go from 1981 with the original sleeve.  Now's your chance.  I've owned this 45 for well over 20 years and never thought I would ever sell it but I'm not getting any younger and I can't hold on to a collection this size forever so I'm selling some Holy Grails this week.  Of all the Holy Grails I own, however, this is one of the holiest.  An undisputed hardcore landmark, this mythical 7" laid the foundation for punk to come.  Vinyl is a VERY conservative VG/VG+ with a few light paper scuffs.  Easily VG+ in the hands of most sellers.  Cover is a conservative VG/VG+ with no splits, no stains, no rips, no tears, sharp corners and a few light creases at the top.  Again, VG+ in the hands of most sellers.  Auction also includes the original protective outer sleeve with a $2.00 Wax Trax! Records (represent, Chicago!) price tag from when the label operated a store on Lincoln Avenue decades ago and exclusively sold records that mattered.  Beyond impossible to find, only 200 of these 45s were originally pressed and FAR fewer survive today.  Only one complete copy has surfaced in the last seven years.  One sleeve with no record was sold for $1,500.00 and one sleeve without a record was sold for $1,381.00 around a year ago but the vinyl was in G+ condition and the label had water damage so don't sleep.  It will most likely be a lot longer than five years before another complete copy comes up for sale, particularly in this condition.
