Here are Tyler, Minnesota’s, the Drifters doing a killer version of “Walk Don’t Run” Comb” backed by “I’ve Come Awful Close.” Released in 1967 with only a 500 pressed. Rare release. The vinyl is VG+ with very light scuffs and labels are NM. It was been autographed by the late Merv Peterson, the guitarist for the Drifters. See photos. Sorry they aren’t better. IGL & SONIC RECORDS ARCHIVE
If you are a record collector of amazing 60’s garage music, then Milford, Iowa’s IGL & Sonic Records are one of the “Holy Grail” ‘60s labels in existence. I was able to acquire an amazing grouping of IGL/Sonic 45 records with 98% being in mint condition. It was like going into the IGL vault. It’s almost unheard of considering that many of these discs are now close to 58 years old. I’d suggest if you collect these labels, here is your chance to get amazingly scarce mint copies. I doubt you’ll see this opportunity again. In a few cases if it is not Mint, I’ll note that. There are a few of those as well.
