THE DOWLANDS Lonely Johnny
UK 7", Oriole 45-CB 1892, 1963 This must stand as arguably the rarest Joe Meek production of all the commercially released 45s (some have suggested this single was withdrawn, which would explain its scarcity!). Only two copies of 'Lonely Johnny' are known to have ever been auctioned on eBay, the last being in 2007!!! Mint copies valued at £1000+ but they never turn up.
However, please note this record is very badly damaged. Listed for sale only because copies are like hen's teeth... but do not buy expecting to enjoy the listening experience!!!
Condition: POOR (many deep scratches, with both sides covered in surface marks, small edge chip, A-side plays OK with loud background noise and distortion, B-side likewise but jumps three times, labels are also well worn - see photos)
