Description
This limited edition remastered album by The Doors, titled "Basement Tracks," features black vinyl in a cardboard sleeve. Released by Capitol in 1968, this LP showcases the iconic rock band's music in its original 1960s style. With a mint record grading and sleeve grading, this English-language record is a collector's item for fans of classic rock music.
Los Angeles legends The Doors have been examined from just about every angle imaginable, yet recordings from their formative years continue to hold a particular fascination. This collection rounds up a selection of early radio broadcast material and basement-era recordings, capturing the group before the mythology fully took hold. The appeal lies in hearing Jim Morrison, Ray Manzarek, Robby Krieger and John Densmore leaning heavily into the blues traditions that sat beneath much of their later work. 'Crawling King Snake' and 'I'm A King Bee' showcase that influence most directly, whilst originals such as 'In The Eye Of The Sun' and 'Verdillac' hint at the dark, more exploratory path the band would soon follow. Rough around the edges, certainly, though that's very much the point.
