Description
This is an auction for a rare double LP by The Doors, Absolutely Live.
This was released by Elektra records in 1970 and has catalogue number- 2665002 and is Stereo. This is the 1st press with an orange label and gatefold sleeve. Please check the pictures for clarification.
The following is pictured below on supersize.
Condition: The gatefold sleeve has some discolour marks and some buffing to edges and corners. No tears, bends or creases, Centre ex, complete and graded at VG.
This also comes with its two original patented inner sleeves which other than some discolour marks are in fine condition.
All labels are clean, under close examination some spider spindle trails can be seen on each side. The centre holes are fine and show little to no signs of wear.
Vinyl: Appearance: All sides retain there new shine, Under a very stong light one or two tiny feather scratches and a couple of dirt / dust marks can be seen only.
I have play tested this record through all sides and i'm pleased to say it plays how it looks which is very well indeed. Other than a few very quiet crackles heard in a few places (being caused by dirt marks not scratches) these play as new. there is very little, if any, lessening in sound quality through all four sides. The music itself plays strong with no fading, distortion or dragging heard whatsoever. These are graded at an ultra fussy VG+. Once again I have simply down-graded these because they have been played more than a few times despite the vinyl looking brand new. Give them a proper clean and they may play even better?
The current batch of records I am now selling on Ebay, including The Zombies, Doors, Cream, Mayall, Love Sculpture Etc have all come from the same collector. He did look after his vinyl and sleeves but obviously did not play them often as many have dust / dirt marks. Please check the records I am now listing and over the next few days as many may infact turn out to be a fantastic bargain with a huge potential to upgrade most of these items when cleaned properly.
This record is graded at VG+ and is certainly a worthwhile addition to any collection.
