Up for sale is an original 1962 Brent Records 45 by The Donays, featuring the tracks:

• A-side: Bad Boy (Richard Drapkin) – 2:12

• B-side: Devil in His Heart (Richard Drapkin) – 2:29


This was the only single ever released by The Donays, yet it became legendary after The Beatles covered “Devil in Her Heart” on their second UK album With The Beatles (1963). Because of that connection, it has long been sought after by both Beatles completists and Northern Soul / girl group collectors.


This copy comes from the personal collection of a Detroit DJ, adding provenance and historical significance, as Detroit disc jockeys were instrumental in breaking local R&B, garage, and girl group singles to wider audiences in the early 1960s.


Condition: Stronh VG+. Vinyl shows very light surface wear typical of DJ-handled records, but plays strong with clear sound. Labels are clean and legible with vivid red Brent color. Comes housed in a vintage plain sleeve.


A true piece of Detroit and Beatles-related history — seldom offered for sale.
