Once labelled as "California's The Clash" for the extreme left-wing ideas expressed in their revolutionary songs, 

The Dils were part of the very first wave of the L.A. punk scene. 

In 1977 What? Records released their debut 7" "I Hate The Rich / You're Not Blank", a real manifesto of their ideas. 

Two other 7"s followed until their split in 1980.

The Kinman brothers continued their music activities with the new band Rank & File...(Discogs)
