The Clash. 1st lp. CBS 8200 From my own private collection. Bought as new in 1977. The reason the sticker is still on this one? The 1st copy I bought had damage (as some disks did back then), I sent off THAT red sticker. And then got a replacement from the record shop in Newcastle. Which is this copy! Yes I should have sent for the other Capitol Radio...but in after thought!!!! You probably already know what this is. Exceptionally rare. The vinyl is excellent and the sleeve is still partly wrapped in cellophane and in excellent condition (light ring wear at right edge only where the cellophane has been pulled back).

When the first Clash album was issued back in 1977, the first 10,000 copies came with a sticker on the inner sleeve that could be sent into the NME to receive the Capital Radio EP featuring Mick Jones and Joe Strummer being interviewed by Tony Parsons on an underground train. It appears that most people did just that. This "The Clash" is a top punk collectable, but I can only find one other of these LPs turning up with the sticker intact.
