This auction is for the EXTREMELY RARE private press self-titled LP by THE CARPENTER's UNION on TODAY RECORDING. A truly amazing xian Psych Folk LP. It's exact date of release and actual number pressed is a bit blurry, but it's been documented as somewhere between 68' and 74' and less than 500 pressed. The record begins with a psychedelic gloom and doom musique concrete type prologue complete with sounds of war and fighting. The ultra groovy songs following go from psych-tinged folk very similar to the best bits of The Free Design to quite rockin' and moving sections, complete with some truly hip trumpet and organ...the whole thing is repeatedly accented with fantastic flute, harpsichord, drumming and chunks of some real groovy bass.
