Description
THIS IS A STEREO FIRST PRESSING OF THE BYRDS LP “SWEETHEART OF THE RODEO” ISSUED IN THE UK IN 1968 ON THE ORANGE CBS LABEL AND IS SERIOUSLY RARE IN THIS CONDITION! THE VINYL IS IN MINT CONDITION! THE SUPERB COVER IS IN OUTSTANDING CONDITION. DONT MISS THIS VERY RARE OPPORTUNITY!
The Catalogue Number is S 63353 on the orange UK CBS label (see picture). Matrix numbers are SBPG 63353-A1 and SBPG 63353-B1.
The record labels are in STUNNING condition (see picture) with NO wear, NO writing, and ONLY VERY LIGHT spindle marks. I BOUGHT THIS RECORD SHORTLY AFTER IT CAME OUT AND IT HAS ONLY BEEN PLAYED A FEW TIMES AND THEN ONLY ON TOP QUALITY HI-FI EQUIPMENT. The vinyl is in SUPERB condition with NO scratches, NO scuff marks and NO signs of wear. THE RECORD STILL RETAINS EVERY BIT OF ITS ORIGINAL 'JUST PRESSED' LOOK! The record sounds as STUNNING as the visual! It plays with CRYSTAL CLEAR UNDISTORTED SOUND, NO sticking, NO groovewear, NO jumps, and NO crackle! The record plays SUPERBLY with ZERO DISTORTION! Believe me this record is NOT overgraded in ANY way! Brilliant!!
The laminated cover is in OUTSTANDING condition for its age!
The front cover preserves all of its shiny just-pressed look but has defects described below. The back cover looks new apart from some VERY SLIGHT discolouration along the top edge. The cover has NO ringwear.
The text on the spine is only partly legible because much of it has been rubbed away although I have looked after the LP carefully (see pictures). It could be a design faulty with this type of cover - because of the way it is put together the spine is not distinctly at a right angle to the front and back as it is normally. There is wear to the spine of the front cover (see picture). There is MODERATE edgewear to open edge of the front cover. There is THE TINIEST wear to the corners of the front cover (see picture). There are five 0.5cm LIGHT vertical creases from the top edge of the front cover starting 1cm from the top left corner. There is a 1cm LIGHT vertical crease `1.5cm to the left of the bottom left corner of the front cover, followed by three VERY LIGHT 0.5cm vertical creases. There is a 2cm LIGHT thumb crease starting 7cm to the left and 7cm above the bottom right corner of the front cover. Despite these creases around the edges, the front cover retains NEARLY ALL of its initial glossy look.
The back cover is close to mint. There are NO creases at all to the back cover. There is NO wear to ANY of the corners of the back cover. The cover is firm and strong. It looks as though it has just been manufactured. NONE of the surface of the back cover has rubbed away over the years (see picture). The opening edges of the back cover are straight. There is NO edge wear! The back cover LOOKS AND FEELS VERY CLOSE TO BRAND NEW!
I TRY TO MAKE MY DESCRIPTIONS OF THE CONDITION OF ITEMS VERY PRECISE.

THIS IS A RARE UK LP TO FIND IN THIS CONDITION! DONT MISS OUT!
For packaging I use strong record boxes with extra stiffeners to stop damage and bends to the cover. All LPs are sent out with the record packed separately from the original cover to stop splits and damage to the cover.
