We are very thankful for the original owner of this album for wisely doing exactly that: keeping the original album STILL SEALED, thus shielding  and protecting the delicate cover from the harmful impact of the elements (such as partying, booze, burns from grass joints or other, er… extracurricular activities) over the decades.

A fine collection featuring the great soul quartet putting their spin on classic numbers, ranging from Cliff Nobles' "The Horse" to Motown, Beatles, Isley Brothers, and even some in-house songs like Eddie Floyd's "I've Never Found a Girl (To Love Me Like You Do)." The original lineup is in fine form, particularly drummer Al Jackson, Jr.

This is the legendary Booker T & MG's 1969 album with the original "mirror" cover, in which they cover a variety of the period pieces - songs by Sly & the Family Stone, Doors, Beatles, Marvin Gaye, Isley Brothers, etc. This is a rare opportunity to find this increasingly scarce album in a beautiful shape that simply can’t be improved. (a)         WE GRADE THE VINYL  AS  NEAR MINT. Some VERY LIGHT AND SUPERFICIAL abrasions – mostly sleeve scuffs -  are (barely) visible, but are probably inaudible,  and do not affect visual integrity or beauty of the vinyl. The original luster is very much intact, and the vinyl shines and sparkles almost like new.

(b)         The record is pressed on a beautiful, thick, inflexible vinyl, which was usually used for the first or very early pressings. Usually, the sound on such thick vinyl pressings is full-bodied, vivid, and even dramatic. Do not expect to obtain such a majestic analog sound from a digital recording!

(c)         Of course, this is a full-bodied ANALOG recording, and not an inferior, digital recording!!!

-       Cover has two (2) cutout holes in one of the corners

-       Cover has JUST A HINT of ring wear (nothing significant); On the scale from 1 to 10 (1 being the least, and  10 being the most severe), we assess the severity of ring wear as 1.

-       Cover has one corner slightly worn (nothing significant)
