Here we have a classic R&B album from Muddy Waters entitled 'The Best Of Muddy Waters'.It was issued in 1964 on the highly collectable Pye International record label and the catalogue no. is NPL 28040.The record is in mono.
There are 12 tracks and these are :-
Side One I Just Want To Make Love To You Long Distance Call Louisiana Blues Honey Bee Rollin' Stone I'm Ready
Side Two Hoochie Coochie Man She Moves Me I Want You To Love Me Standing Around Crying Still a Fool I Can't Be Satisfied
The record has been assessed as being in VG+ condition as there are some visible surface marks,particularly on Side Two,which affect the sound occasionally.Both sides play well but with a few light surface noises.However,there are no jumps or skips and overall the record plays loud and clear and without any distortion.
The outer cover has been assessed as being in VG+ condition as it is a little grubby with age and the edges are a little worn.Apart from this there are no major marks or blemishes,no rips or tears and no handwriting on the cover.However,the original price of the record is marked on the reverse side and this is shown to be 15 shillings or 75 pence in today's money !
IN MINT CONDITION THIS ALBUM IS VALUED BY RECORD COLLECTOR AT £65 - IN VIEW OF ITS VG+ GRADING WE HAVE A MUCH LOWER STARTING POINT AND NO RESERVE - THIS IS PERHAPS AN OPPORTUNITY FOR FANS OF EARLY 60s R&B OR PYE INTERNATIONAL LABEL COLLECTORS TO FILL AN IMPORTANT HOLE IN THEIR COLLECTION
