Description
This is a lovely original UK stereo first pressing of The Beatles self-titled LP from 1968, otherwise known as 'The White Album'. The top opening cover is the nicest I've ever seen, short of finding one that had never been touched and shut away in a darkened vault, it would be hard to find better! It is mostly still its original white/cream colour with just a light band of yellowing towards the opening edge. The cover is numbered 0390445. There is what looks like it may be residue from glue in the manufacturing on the edges of the flipbacks on the inside of the cover (see pic). The spine is fully intact, there are three tiny and light creases to the laminate on the front and some very minor bruising to the edges. A really lovely cover, graded EXCELLENT PLUS. The vinyl is in lovely clean MINT MINUS condition, just a few very light hairlines visible under bright light from sleeve removal. It plays beautifully too, some very light static crackle in places but nothing that interferes with or spoils the music, no distortion, loud pops, clicks, jumps or sticks. The dark green Apple labels are in lovely clean condition with very little sign of record play. All 4 carry both the "Mfd in UK", "EMI Recording" & "Sold in the UK" credits. I use strict RC gradings with plus and minus to indicate variation and all records are sent out in professional mailers.
