Text ‘Sold in UK Subject to Resale’ etc, ‘The Gramophone Co Ltd’ etc, ‘Made in Gt Britain’. ‘First Pressing’ of this classic masterpiece. Label is Beautiful clean and attractive examples that show hardly any spindle marks at all.. No wear around the hole area. Both clean and fresh looking and clearly little handled with hardly any traces of fingermarks.Matrix Numbers: YEX 637-1 / YEX 638-1 Stamper
This is a complete copy: the labels meet the recognised criteria to be a ‘first pressing’ but that is a lose term. The cover is very strong and fresh and has few blemishes only. The original ‘Patents Applied for’ psych inner is included and again its a good one only some creasing and edgewear . The insert of course is included in Excellent condition. The record visually is nice and clean and sounds great with a few light clicks on the thin passes.
Cover Grade and Format: Graded as Excellent to EX, a gatefold format, laminated all over (including the centrefold). Two huge flipback on the top of the inner. This has the original PCS 7027 Stereo cover number. Printed and made by Garrod & Lofthouse Ltd. A very attractive example of what is arguably the most famous cover ever made, this looks terrific. Shows some wear on the spine, still beutiful and readable. A repaired cut on top right corner
factory Sample Sticker on side two.
Inner Gatefold: perfect
Inner: original RED WAY RED INNER SLEEVE
Vinyl Condition/Visual Grading: A Side VERY GOOD PLUS PLUS B side Excellent or very, very close too only some paper scuffs and even fewer tiny thin lines scrathes observed under 120 watt light) Unbanded version. A tiny scratch on "being for the benefit"Just some light paper scuffs and couple hairlines on side one. Super clean, shiny, jet black and very heavily pressed, this record looks really amazing. Sound very good at least to my ears () has only very few thin line scarthes and very minor papers scuffs per side visible only in very strong light. A
