?The Beatles- Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band. MONO LP - 1st Pressing.

Rare wide spine issue (later copies had a 4mm spine)?

A NEAR MINT copy of this awesome 1967 LP.

The Mono mix was the only Beatles LP which was mixed by the Beatles and has a few important differences from the stereo version.

Yellow / Black Parlophone label.

Matrices: XEX.637-1 AND XEX.638-1

Stampers: 4 MM and 2 M

Catalogue PMC7207.

K T embossed on Side 1 label re. Purchase Tax.

Cover: Gatefold laminated with top internal flipbacks. Condition : Inner cover Mint - unblemished. Spine excellent and legible writing. The 8mm wide spine has a vertical crease (design flaw?) No seam splits, writing or tears. Garrod and Lofthouse sleeve. Outer cover strong excellent with the occasional crinkle at edges. No writing, splits or tears anywhere. Dedicated Mono sleeve (could not be used for stereo as an alternative as did later copies).

Inner bag - Red/White wavy design bag in unusually good condition. Colours are bright and there are no splits, marks or tears. Condition Near Mint. Text shows 'Patents applied for' so must be early copy.

Labels: Near Mint with a few spider marks. Fresh and clean. Rims on both sides shows 'The Gramophone Company....'.

Label text shows 'Sold in UK etc......'

'Cut out' insert is Mint

Record: Looks/Plays Near Mint. A few paper scuffs can be seen in bright daylight. One faint hairline can also be seen but not heard.

Overall grading - Near Mint.

The best used copy I've seen. Equivalents sell at well over £100, sometimes significantly higher. Get it while you can. Low start price.
