Early copy of THE BEATLES - PLEASE PLEASE ME album on Parlophone PMC 1202 in mono
Matrix XEX 421-1N / XEX 422-1N Stampers 1 GP / 1 2 GH
Second pressing , black & gold labels with Northern Songs publishing credits
Play checked fully twice - audio playback is VG near VG+ with only infrequent minor background noise mainly between some tracks. No loud clicks, no skips.
Playing surfaces visually have marks, scuffs, light wispy scratches and a couple of feelable scratches but these do not adversely affect the audio quality to any serious degree. These robust heavyweight early pressings were very durable indeed.
Record Labels - clean, minor wear (see pictures). 'MT' tax code embossed astride spindle hole on side 2.
Cover - Photo credit to 'Angus McBean' just 1mm from bottom right edge in the correct place. The original Ernest J Day cover has done its job over the past 53 years but has required some remedial repairs to it to prolong its life i.e. flipback piece replaced, edges and corners strengthened . Stained at bottom front and back. Corner & edge wear all round in places. Front bottom right has small surface piece missing. Laminate generally in very good condition.
Inner Sleeve - Original 'Emitex' poly-lined inner has discoloured with age. No tears.
