Description

This is an auction for a brand new factory sealed 1978 UK Import of "The Beatles" (the White Album) 2 LP set on white vinyl (Apple PCS-7067/8).  This is regularly considered the best sounding version of this classic album, and this copy has never been played.  This LP is still factory sealed with the sticker intact - the vintage plastic wrap is much thicker than current shrinkwrap (it is almost like cellophane).  There is a split in the shrinkwrap at the seam which allows peeking at the contents of the first album sleeve, and you can see that the poster is present, but it is too small to remove any of the contents. As with any item over 35 years old, there are some flaws which I've tried to capture in the photos (this is a very difficult item to photograph, since it is totally white):

  • Photo 8: Closeup of a tear on the wrap and a scratch above the word 'Stereo' on the spine
As with purchasing any sealed LP, there is no way to confirm the state of the vinyl.  This isn't usually mentioned in ads by other sellers, but any sealed LP (recently pressed or decades old) has the potential to be warped, mispressed, etc. Given this unknown, there will not be refunds accepted due to the condition of the vinyl.  An auction that recently ended for a similarly sealed copy of this LP ended at over $800, so take advantage of this rare opportunity and give someone (or yourself) a great gift.
