Description

Incredibly rare 2 LP set released by Vee Jay records in 1964 as their last gasp before Capitol stopped them for good, this includes the hard-to-find large foldout poster that has never been pinned, taped, etc. to a wall.  This set is very difficult to find (much harder to find than a butcher cover) as the number of copies pressed was only in the thousands.

The Beatles record has-left justified song titles and indented credits, with “INTRODUCING the BEATLES” and “LONG PLAYING” (two words) on the label. The deadwax has the matrix numbers 63-3402 on SIDE 1, and 63-3403 on SIDE 2. Each side also includes the etched text “URT” as well as the machine stamped Audio Matrix logo.
The Four Seasons record is titled "Golden Hits of the Four Seasons" and has the same colorband brackets logo label (I think all mono versions may have colorband brackets logo labels - not sure). The Monarch symbol is in the dead wax, and includes the matrix numbers 63-3048 and triangle 5713 on SIDE 1, and 63-3409 and triangle 5713-X on SIDE 2.

The poster is really nice, as shown in the photo. It has never been mounted, but after being folded for close to 60 years, there is a slight slit/thinning of the paper at the center of the seam, as shown in the last photo (that is the light visible through the thinning seam from the back.)

Both LPs have quite a few marks (visually VG-), but they both play quite powerfully, close to VG+ on my turntable with a mono switch, despite their visual appearance (many pressings from this period can appear rough but play better if you have a mono switch). The jacket is clean with no writing (not even on the scorecard on the back), but it does have seam splits as shown in the photos. If it weren't for the seam splits, this would be VG, but because of those splits, it has to be graded lower at VG-
