Description
Hello there, and thank you for viewing my items!
Having had rather a lengthy hiatus, I'm back to sell more of my collection/ 2nd copies/ records I think might be of interest to others. In previous years I've sold very rare PROG, 60s, PUNK etc, ranging from cheap record right up to £1000 records, and have invariably got good feedback. However, having been away from selling for so long I realise I need to build up current positive feedback again, hence I'm listing many items at buy it now prices, please check out my current, and coming here at my other items! Or to get the heads up on my listings before others even add me to your favourites list!
Here we have the very elusive "Bold" or "Broad" Font UK version of THE BEATLES 1965 Nmber 1 hit Ticket To Ride b/w Yes It Is. I won't give you the story of this single, as,ifyou're looking at this, you probably know all about the chart dates etc! I'll concentrate more on this copy. There were three main variations to the font type on this release, the broad font variant being by far the rarest! Indeed, depending on howminute you want to get, there were two very slight variations of text allignment on the Broad Font copies, this is what Bruce Spizer's (and all involved!) wonderful research calls PAR 5265.01Cii. Where the "N" of "NCB" is alligned slightly right of the "E" of "7XCE". I realise many record collectors might have already turned off at this point, but I'm one of those quite obsessive completists when it comes to BEATLES records (particularly 7"s) where these minute details really do matter! The embossed KT tax code is on the centre of the A-side,and the run-out tax code is situated at 9 o'clock on both sides.
LABELS: VG+, All important in a record such as this! Nice and clean, free of any staining or graffiti. A few very small scuffs to the A-side label (the most noticable directly below the large "C" of McCartney)
VINYL: VG, The disc it's self plays fine with light background noise in places. Many light marks, and one or two slightly more more noticable, still plays great though!
SLEEVE: VG, Though not the sleeve it came in,this sleeve is in similar condition to the disc. No wear throughs, though a small nick in the opening die-cut centre at 12 o'clock on the front, slight wear around the central holes, completely free of writing etc, though a slight age yellowing is present.
