THE BEATLES: THE COLLECTION (September 1982 - Mobile Fidelity BC-1)
This library is #14,659 of a limited stamping of the fourteen Original Master Recordings.
The set consists of 14 disks contained in their jackets. Each side of the jackets have an
illustration of the Master Recording Log for the contained disk.
There are two booklets with the set. One is a history of the recordings with full page
color copies of the retail jacket covers. The second booklet labeled "LOVE SONGS
THE BEATLES". It is a very beautiful printing of the lyrics for each of the songs.
As a bonus, I have included two other (2) Capitol Records disk albums. One is their
edition of "LOVE SONGS / THE BEATLES". The second is "THE BEATLES' STORY"
A narrative and Musical Biography of BEATLEMANIA on 2 Long-Play Records.
A printed downloaded copy of the history of "Rarities ... Beatle's Boxed Sets" is
enclosed. This history can be viewed on the internet. search for Rare Beatles Boxed Sets.
The THE BEATLES: THE COLLECTION, that I am offering, has been played
"ONLY ONCE" on a B&O Linear Disk Player with a $400 diamond stylus!
After that, I listened to the magnetic tape image transfer of the album. As such,
it is probably in better shape that originally pressed. Their "Certificate of Limited
Warranty (which is in the box) states as follows!
Reminder: We do not de-horn our parts in order to prevent damage to high frequencies
and transients. It may be necessary to play this disc several times, with your stylus acting
as a polishing tool, to eliminate random pops and ticks. Brush carefully before and after each play"
