Description
Offered for sale is a very rare 7" vinyl single by The Beatles. 'Please Please Me / Love Me Do' was released as a single in Sweden in 1963, on the Odeon label, with the catalogue number SD 5937. It is hard to find nowadays, and comes with its original picture sleeve which is rarer still.
The record is in fair to poor condition. It plays through fine, but the A-side vinyl is significantly scratched. If you imagine the record with the label the correct way up as a clock, then the majority of the scratches are between 6 and 9. I have tried to show this in the shadow of the camera - please see the pictures. There has also been a sticker on the A-side label at some point. The B-side vinyl is fairly good for its age, but the label is worn and appears to have been coloured in with a marker in the top right, again please look at the pictures.
The original picture sleeve is in pretty nice condition, especially given its age. There is a very small pen mark on the front, and the side seam is just wearing away, close to the word 'love' - I have tried to show a close up of this. It is also showing signs of ringwear on the rear but is in pretty good condition overall given its age.
All in all, this is a fair to poor record in a nice sleeve, that even in this condition would hopefully make a nice filler for someone's Beatles collection.
