Matrix : YEX 178-2 / 179-2 Issue : UK RARE STEREO 1st PRESS
This is the RARE STEREO 1st PRESS of ‘Rubber Soul' by The Beatles. The labels are Yellow & Black, with the ‘Gramophone Co Ltd’ and ’ Sold In UK’ label text. It has the KT tax code on the Side 1 label. The record is complete with the laminated flipback ‘patents pending’ STEREO Garrod & Lofthouse sleeve.
The record is in Good condition. The vinyl has no heavy significant marks but does have a number of light marks on both sides plus one small mark on Side 2. It still has a light gloss and because it is the heavy original Stereo press, still plays through very well. The yellow and black STEREO Parlophone label is very bright and completely clean. The black is bold, the yellow is bright and the text is sharp. There is just light spindle wear. The record is complete with its original Emitex polylined inner sleeve.
The laminated flipback sleeve is in Very Good condition. The colours are bold, the laminate has a stunning bright mirrored shine and the picture is extremely clear. There is soem opening edge wear but the other edges are all firm. The flipbacks are sealed and the unlaminated back has the slightest discolouration, but is still very clean and bright. The text is sharp and the black is bold. The spine is very firm with clear black text on a clean white background.
