I've collected records for over 30 years and as such sometimes take stock and realise how many duplicates I have accrued, and how many records I no longer listen to. I grade using the RRPG Record Collector grading system, though feel that I grade down if anything, please check my feedback for proof of this! I have sold many records (some incredibly rare ones in the 4 figures) over the years, so please rest assured that my gradings have been satisfactory so far! Though, If you have any concerns, please don't hesitate to contact me before leaving negative feedback. I haven't had negative feedback so far, and don't intend to start now if I can at all help it!

I sold a similar condition copy of this rare record earlier in the year, and have used the introduction to that listing as a template,so if this listing starts off sounding a bit familiar,then please be aware I haven't plagerised anyone but myself, and this is a different and possibly marginally better copy of this very rare LP, that I was lucky enough to own!
 Here we have one of the most audibly sought after Beatles records, by that I mean that the desirability of this record doesn't stem from a variation in the type-face or company which pressed it, but rather from the songs on it. This is a very 1st MONO (mis)pressing of REVOLVER from 1966 with a different version of Tomorrow Never Knows to close the album, this version Remix 11 hasn't been made available officially anywhere else. This is the only pressing of this album worldwide to feature this version of the song, either then or since, and was only run for very few copies, before it was corrected with the intended mix. Bruce Spizer tells it more succinctly than I could in his essential book "Beatles For Sale On Parlophone Records", "When the monoalbumwas banded, Remix 11 was placed on the album's master tape. The first lacquer cut for the mono album,as well as the initial pressings of the mono album (identified by the matrix number XEX-606-1 in the trail off area of Side 2), have remix 11. After a relatively small number of mono albums were pressed with Remix 11,George Martin decided that remix 8 should have been used. A new lacquer was cut with Remix 8, and all future pressings of the album have this mix. (These records have XEX-606-2 in the trail off area Side 2.)... Both versions of the mono album went on sale simultaneously on August 5, 1966. Collectors pay a premium for the initial pressing having Remix 11 of Tomorrow Never Knows."
Apologies for such a lengthy quote, but I think it's a very valuable and well expressed paragraph! Here then collectors, for your delictation... is one of said rare initial Remix 11 copies!
Record Condition: Visually VG-/VG  The record surfaces do have some surface marks, and whilst the surfaces still shine nicely, they aren't the mirrors of beauty you might want a final upgrade to be, the trouble is that final upgrade may cost you a (not small enough) fortune aswell! The surface lines are mostly visible under strong, direct light, but a few are more noticable in normal light also. luckily,whilst this visually is not a museum piece, the surface marks are all superficial,and the audio is really great indeed! A tiny bit of vinyl presence in the quietest of passages (the sinlences between songs), but really great clear audio. And of course the all important Tomorrow Never Knows is beautiful, with just 5 light ticks on the final fade out, after the vocals have ended! The grade given is a visual one,the audio grade is significantly higher, at leat VG+.    
Label Conditions: VG+ Lovely strong labels completely free of grafitti, tears, stickers, stains etc. It has a few very light spindle marks, visible when angled under strong direct light, and a very llight rub whitening about 2mm around the central spindle hole of side 1, where the label is ever so slightly raised. Really lovely examples!
Sleeve Condition: EX- Really strong clean Garrod & Lofthouse, Patents Pending sleeve, really nice and crisp, with just a light handling,and completely free from graffiti, stains, edge-wear-throughs etc. Spine is wonderful and completely legible.
