THE BEATLES - REVOLVER (1966) MONO INDIAN PRESSING

Here is a Very Good Plus (VG+) condition copy of an Indian pressing of this beat classic from The Beatles that carries one of the rarer matrix numbers on Side One of XEX 605-2.

The dead wax matrix numbers are :

THE VINYL

The appearance and overall condition of the flat and nicely weighted vinyl is very good plus (VG+). Each side is bright and retains its black sheen, but under closer inspection and under bright light the fine surface markings and paper scuffs visible. There are two very small 'feelable' marks on Track One, Side One, and between tracks 3 & 4 on Side Two which are described later.

THE LABELS

The labels are excellent (EX). With the white/yellow text upon the smooth black background and, the iconic Parlophone '£' logo. There is no writing or staining, just some light marks around the spindle holes. 

THE SLEEVE

The condition of the non-laminated outer sleeve is generally Very Good (VG). There is just general wear and light creasing, consummate with an album of this age. There is just a little light cracking along the spine edge and some light wear to the edges, and there has been a small repair to the top edge in the middle. The card has started to separate a little along the front opening edge (see photo), but could be repaired with a little TLC. I have shown these faults as best I can in the published photos. 

THE SOUND

The quality of the audio is very good plus (VG+)*. Lovely tone and clarity throughout, even at higher volume. No repeats or sticks but there is a small scratch on Track One, Side One (Taxman) which causes a couple of clicks and another between Tracks 2 (For No One) and Track 3 (Dr. Robert) on Side Two. Other than that, there is only very minimal background surface noise in places throughout, but this is very trivial and non-intrusive and all tracks play perfectly. Apart from the faults described, every track plays brilliantly, from the "Taxman" which opens side one, through to "Tomorrow Never Knows" which closes Side Two. 

Comes with the original "Made In India" EMI inner sleeve (see photo) that has a little creasing and a small tape repair one side close to the die-cut centre home, but remains fully functional. Note: The record will be posted using a plain white replacement inner sleeve for shipping purposes in order to protect the original.

* We always do EVERYTHING POSSIBLE to grade our LP records accurately, but you must bear in mind that unless you are buying a vinyl record that  is SEALED, or in NEAR-MINT condition, there will always likely be some type of surface sound, or background noise somewhere on the vinyl, better known as pops or light crackling. If an LP has been played a couple of times, it can never be perfect. This is especially noticeable in classical and jazz records, which have quiet passages. You are buying vinyl LPs because they sound better than CDs, however the pops and crackling come with an LP.
